Our Foundation
Forge africa is our sister partner foundation through which we reach the unreached in the forgotten corners within the forage stores host communities. Forge Africa focuses on rediscovering and implementing sustainable systems to control the hunger and malnutrition problem, grow and multiply human capital to truly live the African dream.
Why food first ?
27% of the population in sub-Saharan Africa is affected by food insecurity. That’s almost four times any other region of the world. Nigeria’s hunger statistics alone for 2017 was 13.4% with an annual change of 1.9% and an estimated 2 million children suffer from severe acute malnutrition (SAM) – www.unicef.org
Over three (3) million children die each year
due to malnutrition and hunger.
Well into the 21st century hunger is still the world’s biggest health problem. And it’s about to get worse. Our global population is expected to keep growing until it reaches equilibrium at around 10 billion and then begins to decline. This growth in the world’s population is a significant challenge, as it’s expected to increase demand for food by nearly 60 percent.
In essence, we will need to produce and distribute as much food in the next 30 years as we have produced in the last 10,000 years combined and we’ll have to do it in a way that is not just sustainable, but also efficient and fair.
Our Commitment
We believe with all the money in the world not one child anywhere should go to bed hungry or starving and poverty anywhere is a threat to prosperity everywhere.
We consider it a privilege to take on the responsibility of contributing to the global attainment of food security, improved nutrition and sustainable agriculture by introducing the food bank and trust fund initiative within our neighborhoods primarily funded by forage stores yearly revenue.
